Alyssa had expressed a desire to see a Space Shuttle.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation had granted her a trip to Disney World in Orlando, but KSC was not one of their offerings.  Since she, her Mom, and 3 siblings were going to be there for 5 days, we thought we would try to set up a little side trip for them.

Bill Bertsch contacted Ken Cockrell & Charlie Bolden at NASA.  Ken is an active astronaut; MGen. Bolden USMC (ret)  piloted the Hubble mission.  Charlie became our primary "hook" into NASA; the result was a VIP Gold Pass tour at KSC on Wed., 5 Oct. 2005.
