Easter Celebration Ideas
My family and I have made going to Grandma Clara's farm an Easter tradition. Even though our children are 11 and 13, they still enjoy the Easter activities we plan for them. This page is designed to give families and event planners some creative ideas for the Easter celebration. The following activity works well with combined age groups. Everyone enjoys searching for Easter eggs. The older children can assist with putting together the puzzle.More ideas regularly featured at this site!
Purchase two small Easter theme puzzles--less than 30 pieces each. Color the backs of one puzzle with a magic marker. Place 1-2 puzzle pieces from each puzzle into plastic eggs and hide throughout your yard or house. Divide the children into two teams to find Easter eggs. Assign each group either the colored or non-colored backs of the puzzle. When children find the eggs, they must leave the egg if the puzzle pieces are not theirs. The first team to complete their puzzle gets the "grand prize" and the other team gets the "consolation prize". If there is a large number of children, add more puzzles with different colored backs.
