Our family tradition is for the Olmanson family to gather on odd numbered years at the lake cabin. Since there are 10 grandchildren, we try to have some planned activities to make the day more memorable. This page offers suggestions and ideas on how to make family traditions more memorable for the 4th of July.Purchase low cost tank top t-shirts at a local discount store. Purchase fabric paint colors for the designs you have selected. You may also need/want to purchase patterns to iron on to the shirts for uniformity. We have found that the children are quite creative in expressing their meaning of the 4th of July with self-designed shirts. Be sure you have a large enough area for all children to work at the same time or else work in shifts. Also, be sure to lie the shirts flat to dry. Best to do these shirts on July 3 so that all family members can wear them on the 4th of July. These make great swimsuit coverups as well.More ideas regularly featured at this site!
