With the exception of WantedJobs and DICE, all these sites are strictly for technical writing. Some are technical writing recruitment agencies, and some are job boards. Though smaller than the general job boards, they feature many positions that are not cross-posted to other boards.

A really good job search tool is available from Wanted Jobs 2000. It does multi-site searches that are linked to profiles. I recommend it for getting started. It is definitely a time saver, but it does not hit many of the boards listed here since they are focused on technical writing.

Not strictly a technical writing board, but deserves top billing because it is the most active site. Use the advanced search to narrow down the results unless you have time to go through 500+positions. Most listings are hard-core high tech, so don't be surprised to see some exotic listings and salaries.

A great tech writing recruitment firm in the Bay area. Mainly upper level, but some positions require only 1-2 year's experience. Check out their career corner for some terrific advice on getting started in technical writing!

A Bay area recruitment firm specializing in tech comm. Primarily upper level positions, but a good place to check out the market.

A "large" boards by tech writing standards.

Another good board specializing in technical writing.

A small site for California tech writing positions. Search by metro areas.

This is the place to begin searching for jobs through STC chapters. Unfortunately, many chapters have email lists rather than open boards.

An extensive database maintained by the STC. More East Coast listings than the Bay area boards.

This is on the STC site, but it deserves a link of its own. Updated weekly, a great way to keep pace with the heart of high-tech.

Since this is my chapter, I thought I'd include a link to the Twin Cities Board. It is a great board—updated regularly.
