SMTP authentication is required for sending mail using smtp.cloudnet.com from outside the St. Cloud local Dialing area, or when using an Internet Service Providor other then Cloudnet.
For Cloudnet customers who wish to use the Cloudnet SMTP servers (smtp.cloudnet.com) to send mail, and are connecting to the internet using one or more of the following:
You will need to enable the SMTP authentication support within your mail clients (e.g.Netscape Messenger, Outlook Express, etc...).
Sending mail through the Cloudnet SMTP server (smtp.cloudnet.com) from within the St. Cloud local dialing area, while connecting via a Cloudnet connection remains unchanged.

NOTE: After enabling the required settings, The first time you try to send mail, you may be prompted for your @cloudnet.com email account password.
NOTE: These SMTP Authentication instructions do require your @cloudnet.com mail account username and password.
