Cloudnet CD – Mozilla 1.x Setup Instructions
For Windows 95, 98, 98se,Millenium, NT4, 2000, and XP

Starting your new Cloudnet CD:
Place the CD in the CD-Rom drive. The setup program should run automatically.
If it doesn’t, double click "My Computer",(In Windows XP My Computer may be found in the "Start" menu)>
Double click your CD-Rom drive. If the Cloudnet Startup screen does not appear, double click "Setup".

Installing Mozilla 1.x on all Windows Operating Systems:
Click on the button for your Operating system.
Click on the Mozilla 1.x install button. This will launch the Mozilla 1.x installer.



On the Welcome screen,
Click "Next".
Software License Aggreement:
Read the Software License,
Click on "Accept".
Setup Type:
Click on "Complete",
Click "Next".


If you get a message "the following directory does not exist", would you like to create it?
Click "Yes".
Quick Launch:
Checking Quicklaunch will cause Mozilla to be launched every time Windows is started.
For most people this is not necessary.
Cloudnet recommends not checking this box.
Click "Next".
Start Install:
This screen will show you what components are about to be installed onto your computer.
Click "Next".
The setup program should now install components to your computer.

If you get a screen asking you if you want to make Mozilla your default browser:
Click "Yes", if you want Mozilla to be your default browser.
Click 'No", if you do not.



Once the install is complete, Mozilla will open and try to connect to www.cloudnet.com.
If you get a screen telling you www.cloudnet.com could not be found, just click "OK".

If you have Netscape installed on your computer, you may see that Mozilla copied your profiles from Netscape to your new Mozilla browser.
You can choose one of these profiles, or create a new one.




Setting up the Mozilla Home page:
With Mozilla open, click on "edit",
then on "Preferences".

(-)Navigator - change the Homepage Location to http://www.cloudnet.com
Or to any other address you would prefer Mozilla to start at each time you open it.
Click "OK".
Setting up Mozilla Mail:
With Mozilla open, click on "Window" then on
"Mail & Newsgroups".
The first time you open the mail window it should launch the "Account Wizard".

Account Wizard:
Click on "Email Account",
Click "Next".
Identity:
Enter the name you want to appear in the "From:" field of the message you sent out.
Enter your Email address.
Click "Next".
Server Information:
Click "POP"
Incoming Server = pop.cloudnet.com
Outgoing server = smtp.cloudnet.com
Click "Next".
Incoming and Outgoing User Names:
Enter the username for the mailbox you are setting this profile up for in both fields.
Click "Next".
Account Name:
Enter the name by which you want to refer to this account. You can use something like "John's Email".
The default will be your email address.
Click "Next".
Congratulations!
Uncheck "Download messages now".
Click "Finish".
Turning off SMTP Authentication:
Click "Edit".
On the left, clickon "Outgoing Server (SMTP)".
On the right, uncheck "User Name and Password:.
Set "User Secure connection (SSL)" to "No".
Click "Ok".


If you have not setup Internet Explorer or Netscape on this computer, follow these instructions to manually setup a dialer on your computer.

Manually Setting up a dialer on your computer.
Windows 95,98, 98se: Double click on "My Computer", and then on "Dialup Networking".

Windows Millenium: Click "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", and then double click on "Dialup Networking".

Dialup Networking:
Double click "Make new connection".
Enter "Cloudnet" in place of "My Connection". Click "Next".
Leave the Area Code Blank - enter 2571040 in the phone number field. Click "Next".
Click Finish.

Now right click on your new Cloudnet icon, and left click on "Properties".
Uncheck "Use Area Code and Dialing properties". (This might say "Use country code and area code"). Click "OK.
Now double click your new Cloudnet icon. Enter you Cloudnet username and password.
Check the "Save Password" box if you do not want to have to enter your password every time you connect.
Click Connect. You will need to connect at least one time successfully from this window in order to save the username and password entries. After this you should be able to connect normally.

Windows XP:
Click "Start, then "Control Panel".
Click "Network and Internet Connections". If you do not see this icon, you may be in "Classic" mode, skip to the next line.
Click "Network Connections".
Click "Create a new connection".
Welcome to the new Connection Wizard: Click "Next".
Network Connection Type: Select "Connect to the internet", then click "Next".
Getting Ready: Select "Setup my connection manually", then click "Next".
Internet Connection: Select "Connect using a dial-up modem", then click "Next".
Connection Name: ISP name - enter Cloudnet, then click "Next".
Phone Number to Dial: Phone number - enter 2571040, then click "Next".
Internet Account Information:
Username - enter your Cloudnet username.
Password - enter your Cloudnet password.
Confirm password - enter your Cloudnet password again.
Check "Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer".
Check "Make this the default Internet connection".
If you want to activate the Internet firewall for this connection, check "Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection",
If you do not want to activate the Internet connection firewall for this connection, uncheck this box,
then click "Next".

Completing the New Connection Wizard:
If you want to place a shortcut to this connection on your desktop, check "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop".
If you do not want a shortcut to this connection placed on your desktop, do not check this box.
Click "Finish".

Save these instructions in case you need to re-install Mozilla 1.5 - or install it on another computer.
