IE 6.0 Setup Instructions

If you have Window XP, you already have Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer. Do not install from this CD. You should request specific instructions for Windows XP from Cloudnet.

Starting your new Cloudnet CD:

Place the CD in the CD-Rom drive. The setup program should run automatically. if it doesn't, click on "Start", then "Run", and then in the "Open:" command line enter D:\setup (If your CD-Rom has a different drive letter, enter that letter in place of the "D"), then click "OK". You should then see the setup screen.

Installing Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows 98, Windows95, Windows Me, Windows NT4, or Windows 2000:

1. Click on the Internet Explorer 6.0 install button (button #4).
2. Click on "I Accept the Agreement", and click "Next."
3. It should then Initialize Setup.
4. Click on "Install Now - Full Set of Components", Click "Next."
5. The setup program should now install components to your computer.
6. When it finishes installing components, click "Finish", The setup program will either restart your computer automatically, or ask you to restart it manually.
7. If you are just upgrading from Internet Explorer 4 or 5. Stop at this point, you should not need to go through the setup again.

Setting up Internet Explorer 6.0 with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT4, or Windows 2000

Double click on the "Connect to the Internet" Icon on your desktop. This should start the Internet Connection Wizard. If the Connection Wizard does not start, click "Start", "Programs", "Accessories", "Communications", and "Internet Connection Wizard". On each screen, enter the requested information and click "Next" to continue.

Welcome to the Internet Connection Wizard

On the first screen, select the third of the three options, "I want to set my connection manually...." Click "Next"

Setting Up Your Internet Connection

Click on "I connect using my phone line and a modem." Click "Next"

1. Internet Connection Information: Enter telephone number: 2571040. Uncheck "Dial using area code and country code." Click "Next"
2. Internet account logon Information: Enter your Cloudnet user name and password. Click "Next"
3. Connection name: Type "Cloudnet" in this field. Click "Next"

Set Up Your Internet Mail Account

Do you want to setup an Internet mail account now? Click "Yes." Click "Next"

• Your Name
  Display name: This setting can be anything you want. If you're not sure what you want, type in your real name, like John Smith. If this account is for your whole family, simply type in your Last Name, or something like Smith family. If this account is for a business, type your business name. Click "Next"


Internet E-mail Address
E-mail address: Enter your Internet E-mail Address, from your Cloudnet Connection Information sheet.        Click "Next."

E-mail Server Names
My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
Incoming mail (POP, IMAP, or HTTP) server: pop.cloudnet.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.cloudnet.com        Click "Next"

Internet Mail Logon
Account name: Your Cloudnet email username.
Password: The password for you Cloudnet email account.        Click "Next"

Completing the Internet Connection Wizard
Uncheck "To connect to the Internet immediately, ... "        Click "Finish"

You should keep these instruction in case you need to reinstall Internet Explorer 6.0 again, or on another computer.

To change your Home Page or Start Page.
Double-click Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, choose "Internet Options."
Enter www.cloudnet.com in the Address field. Click "OK."
