Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0

Microsoft's web browser, Internet Explorer 4.0 can be downloaded from their website at www.microsoft.com/ie/download.It is available for Windows 95, NT 4.0, and NT Alpha. There are preview releases for Windows 3.1, NT 3.51, Macintosh, and Unix. To set up Internet Explorer 4.0, download it from the Microsoft web site, install it, and create a dial-up connection for it. The following screen prints show all three steps in detail.

• Download IE 4.0 from the Microsoft web site.
• Install IE 4.0 using the file you downloaded.
• Set up a connection for IE 4.0 (includes mail and news setup.)

Microsoft's web browser, Internet Explorer 3.0 can be downloaded from their website at www.microsoft.com/ie/download. It is available for Windows 95, NT 4.0, NT Alpha, Windows 3.1, NT 3.51, and Macintosh. It includes Microsoft Internet Mail and Internet News. The screen shots on the following pages were created on Windows 95, but the other versions should look similar.
