Hitomi does her best to explain the present situation to the T...
This wasn't going to be easy. Not a van, she tells him... Van, the gangly young dark-haired boy in the T-shirt standing close by... Hitomi explains to Mr. T the fact that he's now on a planet known as Gaea. She recounts to him the long story of how she got to be transported to this world and of how she's been helping Van and the others in their battle to defeat the shadowy forces of the Zaibach Empire. Eventually, she takes Mr. T on a tour of the town, trying her best to explain how this battle is being fought...
Man, thinks the T. Boys his age shouldn't be fightin' battles wit' each other. They should be going to youth centers, playing basketball, makin' ashtrays, and learnin' themselves a good trade... Hitomi tries to explain how Zaibach destroyed Van's kingdom in an attempt to steal Escaflowne, and of the many atrocities the empire has committed since. Mr. T then promises to do what he can to teach Van how to be a soldier, although looking at the boy, he knows he's got his work cut out for him...
Van pouts. He wonders how tough a man as weird-looking as Mr. T could possibly be. "Then again," he thinks"Allen dresses pretty weird, and he manages to kick my butt all the time..."
Van's thoughts are interrupted by the sound of doors bursting open. Princess Millerna now rushes into the room...
Hitomi and her friends are in for it now!. This envoy is none other than Dilandau Albatou, leader of Zaibach's elite guymelef fighter squad, the Dragonslayers.
The Demonic Bishounen and his men have arrived here at Allen's fortress to deliver an ultimatum... (Okay, so Allen's fort was destroyed early in the series, and long before all of the main characters got together, but for the sake of this Mr. T page, you gotta kinda ignore the rules of chronology and continuity here...)
Allen rushes forward to meet the scarlet-clad captain of the Dragonslayers. Dilandau's message is brief, yet chilling...
