Healing
Touch –
A
gentle touch to the human energy field, deeply relaxing, assists your
body's natural healing process.
Swedish
massage-
Relaxing strokes,
light to moderate in pressure to reduce stress increase circulation
and release tightness in muscles. Oil is used.
Russian
massage -
Invigorating strokes which calm the
nervous system, increase circulation to repair injured soft tissue
(muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia) and allow the recipient to
remain alert yet relaxed. Oil is used.
Trigger
point therapy-
Skin and muscles
are warmed up with either Swedish or Russian strokes then friction is
applied perpendicular to the muscle being treated. Then pressure is
applied in the most tender area of the muscle to a level of
tenderness which is easily tolerated by the recipient. This pressure
is sustained until pain and tightness are eliminated. Trigger point
therapy is used when injury is present to break up excess scar
tissue, and release tightness. This excess scar tissue causes pain
and limits range of motion by meshing with fascia and other tissues
in the area. Oil is used.
Polarity
therapy -
Based
on an energetic model of viewing the body and health, polarity is
given incorporated with the above modalities or on its own. The body
is gently held at various points to release energy flow that is
blocked. This gentle approach can be powerfully effective. Ususally
done fully clothed.
Craniosacral
therapy -
A gentle hands on
technique which increases mobility and decreases pain through the
body's release of tight fascia. Usually done fully clothed.
Reflexology
-
A
treatment for the feet to increase blood and nervous circulation in
the entire body. Consists of soothing, relaxing strokes in
combination with compressing reflex areas in the feet which
correspond with organs and areas of the body. Promotes wellness.

Ear
candling –
A
gentle approach to clearing ear wax.
