Villification Tennis is a game/show at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
When and where is Villification Tennis held?
It is held every day of the Festival run at noon at the Bear Stage.
What are the rules of Villification Tennis?
Rules? What rules?
How is Villification Tennis played?
Basically, it is run similar to regular tennis. Participants hurl, lob, etc. insults to the opposing team/individual over a net comprised of peasants. Points are awarded by the judge who decides if the insult has merit or if the crowd particularly loves(hates) it. Instead of a scoring system of 30 love, etc., it would be 30 hate.
Can I see your insults?
Yes, you can. Just follow the link labeled below. If you would like to add to the list, e-mail me. If it sounds good and can be used (with your permission) at the Festival, I will add it to my list with proper credit to the contributor. My insults are VERY tame compared to many of the other participants. If you come to the show, be prepared, parents with small children may not want them to hear some of the insults. To sum up what our line judge says at the beginning of the show - "If you are NOT easily offended -YOU WILL BE. If you ARE easily offended - then you most certainly will be. Parents, if you have impressionable children close by, you will have some explaining to do when you get home...WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?"
