following the service. Visitors Welcome! December 9: Come and Deck the Halls!! Members and friends of SCUUF will be decorating the Fellowship for the Holidays. We will be making decorations for our Christmas tree, singing carols and enjoying the fellowship of others. Please feel free to bring a sampling of your favorite Christmas treat to share. This is always a fun activity, hope you can make it! Musical Reflection: Karen Erickson, a professor of French at CSB/SJU and local church musician, will join us and add to the festivities. Karen will play two hymns she has improvised on our piano: “O Ye Who Taste that Love is Sweet” (Hymn 296) and “Bring a Torch Jeannette, Isabella” (Hymn 233). Greeters: Rob Galler and Kurt Gunn /Coffee: Steve and Linda Saupe December 16: Seasonal Music by the Choir (See inside article)/ Winter Solstice Potluck Yule, the Winter Solstice, celebrates the rebirth of the sun – after this darkest night, the days will slowly lengthen. The cultural winter holidays that share this Solstice time also focus on the return of light and life, the birth of something precious. Come celebrate this time of year with a potluck at the Fellowship. Bring your favorite winter dish to share, remembering the warmth and nourishment that our community brings. Information on various celebrations (ancient and current) that happen at this time of year will also be available at the tables. There will be a sign up sheet for food and assistance with clean up on the back table. The children's choir will perform, and there will be lots of carol-singing. A potluck will follow the service.
