MINUTES OF THE HAVEN TOWN BOARD MEETING
June 18, 2007
The Haven Town Board met at the Haven Town Hall on Monday, June 18, 2007. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Eric Meyer. Members present: Eric Meyer, Dennis Lietha, Jeff Schlingmann, Mark Knowles, Mike Zniewski, and Tammy Schefers.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann made a motion to approve the agenda. Supervisor Mark Knowles seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The Deputy Sheriff gave the report for the month of May. There were 87 incidents.

Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann made a motion to pay the outstanding bills. Supervisor Mark Knowles seconded the motion. The motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
CUP Vesterra, LLC – No new updates.
Don Nelton – Still in litigation. The end of the Road will be completed with the
black-top overlay in July.
Citizen Committee – Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann made a motion that the board accepts the application of Joe Braun for the last member to be on the Citizens Committee. Supervisor Mark Knowles seconded the motion. The motion carried. The Citizens Committee will have a meeting on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Haven Township Hall to start the Haven Township Master Plan Map.

Zoning – None
Airport Update – The sewer and water lines are being placed in the ground. The helicopter facility will start breaking ground in July. The Airport sent out a flyer to the residents who live near the Airport. It was on a Land Acquisition Environmental Assessment Scoping. Chairman Eric Meyer and Supervisor Mark Knowles will meet with Bill Towle at the Airport and question why Haven Township never was informed about this. The Board will then write a letter and comment on this issue. Comments will be accepted through July 1, 2007. Road Update – The overlay projects on 54th Street and at the end of 16th Avenue should be completed in July.
NEW BUSINESS
Jean & Steve Ziebarth – Steve & Jean Ziebarth came to inform the Township Board that they are interested in a piece of property to purchase in Haven Township along Hwy 10. They currently have a marine repair shop, business in Clearwater, MN and want to relocate the business into an industrial area. The Board told them to check into permits, access issues, frontage road, and talk with MNDOT before purchasing the property so they know what they are getting into. The Board has no problem with the business going there if they want to purchase the piece of property and get all the permits needed.

Citescape – Still waiting for prices.
Hall Maintenance - Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann checked on pricing of a projector that hooks up to the computer for the Township Hall. The projectors price is anywhere from $900.00 - $1,300.00 depending upon what is needed. Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann suggested that the Township Hall purchases one around $1,200.00 if the Board wants to get one. The Board will think about this issue and discuss it next month. Supervisor Mark Knowles checked on prices for repainting the Township Hall inside walls and some exterior spots. He also looked into pricing for new carpet and some shelves and general maintenance that is needed. He gave the Board Members a packet to read over on the estimates and the Board will discuss this issue next month.
NorthStar Corridor – The seconded phase from Big Lake, MN to Rice, MN was discussed. There will be a meeting in St. Cloud on June 21, 2007.
The price for Mileage per IRS 2007 went up to .495 per mile.
Nameplate signs were discussed that the Board Members, Clerks and David Meyers should have one at the table. Mike Zniewski will check into this and get back with the Board next month.

It was moved by Supervisor Mark Knowles, seconded by Supervisor Jeff Schlingmann to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried, and the meeting was adjourned at 8:36 p.m.
