LEAGUE RULES
1. NO DIGGING in the batters box. You may plant your foot and twist once,
but
no digging. Batters violating this rule may be called out.
2. ONE HOUR time limit for all games. After one hour, the current inning
is
completed and the game is over. If teams hustle between innings, this rule
should
rarely be needed.
3. 3 ball - 2 strike rule will be used. All other ASA rules will apply.
4. The ASA casual profanity rule will be used.
5. Teams may play with 8 players. NO GRACE PERIOD will be allowed. The 9th
and/or 10th batter will NOT be automatic outs.
6. Please shag foul balls on your side of the field. Home team shags home
run balls.
7. New Run Rule: 20 after 4 innings, or 12 after 5 innings.
8. 4 home runs per game, after four home runs they are OUTS.
9. First team listed is the HOME TEAM. They provide one new and one good
backup ball. (of each size for co-rec) Blue dot balls.
10. Rainouts are made up on Friday nights. (not necessarily the same week)
Depending on the number of teams in the league, we may extend the season
another week to do the rain outs and have them played on tour regular ball
nights.
11. The first game listed for each time slot will be on field #1.
12. No titanium bats are allowed.
13. Any arguing on the judgement of balls and strikes will constitute a
team warning. Any repeat offense shall result in the ejection of that team
member.
14. Teams will be split after everyone has played each other once for the
upper and lower division play offs. Trophies are awarded at the end of the
season with the total team wins and losses.
Please remember that softball is a recreational sport and that everyone should please use good sportsmanship.
PLEASE, NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE BALLPARK OR PARKING AREA. We do our best to provide you with good facilities and a family oriented league, please show your appreciation by patronizing our concession stand.
FYI
Beginning January 1, 2000, only bats which bear an ASA approved certification mark, or which are included on a list published by the ASA National Office, which signifies that such bat model complies with the ASA bat performance standards then in effect will be allowed for use in ASA Championship Play.
Beginning January 1, 2001, only balls which bear an ASA approved certification mark signifying compliance with the COR limitations and compression limitation then in effect will be allowed for use in ASA Championship Play
