- Estimated Cost of "Call to Action" Mailing = $90.00
- Doug will get report from Linda; next newsletter will include official financial update
- No new members to report.
- No new T-shirt sales to report.
- Doug reports that Bill has agreed to continue to be responsible for the CCAA website. Currently no timeline for updates; other than as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Brief discussion about "Honorary" CCAA Membership.
- Board to discuss further via additional meetings, hopefully via phone or the Internet.
- Doug to see if Eric Roers would like to lead this effort.
- Lowell Johnson has nominated Chuck Powers (who attended to get an update on the status of Camp Cuyuna) for consideration as an honorary CCAA Member, in recognition of his many years of completing work projects at Camp Cuyuna.
- Lowell brought up the excellent idea that we should place an article/add in the Council newsletter. Basically something brief that explains what the CCAA is and provides our website and info on how people can join/become involved. Eric will look into this.
- Doug and Keith provided an update on the Asset Assessment Committee presentation to the Council Executive Board. Copies of the presentation and maintenance/capital needs estimates for the camps were distributed, explained, and discussed.
- Doug presented the final draft of our "Call to Action" letter regarding the possible sale of Camp Cuyuna. A few minor edits were proposed, and the letter was then approved unanimously. Mailing labels, envelopes, and email distribution lists are ready to go. The letter will be sent out ASAP to all Camp Alumni in our database. Those with email addresses will receive the letter via email, and all others will receive a printed copy by US mail. Keith recommended we give the Council contacts a courtesy call before sending the letter-Doug to do so.
- Did not get to brainstorming/planning for spring '04 CCAA work weekend. Will discuss at next board meeting.
- Next board meeting will be 03/06/04, 10:00-12:00 AM, Council Office, Mankato.
