Twin Valley Council should follow its founders’ vision
Carl Hage and Vern Lundin and many others had a vision. They wanted to take boys from the prairies of southern Minnesota and give them a wilderness. A place with white and red pines, Loons, clear lakes, and animals.
A place where boys use the patrol method to work together, learn to solve problems together, and overcome fears together. A place where boys become men and leaders of tomorrow.
The Twin Valley Council needs more than money, it needs leaders with a vision. The same kind of vision our founders had. There is a debate within the TVC if we should be committed to long-term camping. The number one reason boys join scouting is for camping.
We need to have the courage our founders had and follow the vision. That vision is a place called Cuyuna. It is our camp for our boys.
