Sell Boy Scouts building, not valuable Cuyana Camp land

In a reply from Scout office, "If they sold the building - the debt on the building is greater than what a sale would generate on the open market.?

I'm questioning the investment in that building. If it did not increase in value, it was a very poor investment. My old house increased $27,000 from 2004 to 2005.

Once parts of Camp Cuyana are sold, it can never, ever be replaced. What real estate person wouldn't be interested for $1.2 million - two lakes, 163 acres? What a bargain.

Scouting isn't about fancy office buildings. Scouting is learning values, skills, the outdoors and much, much more which canot be taught in an office building.
